trying to climb up the walls
My female Bearded Dragon will sometimes go to the right side of her tank and try to climb up the walls. She seems to be trying really hard to climb up. Is this because she see's her reflection?
Thanks

Could be many things, mostly I think they don't understand the concept of glass, they just know something is keeping them from moving so they try to go over it. It's quite amusing to watch them try though!!

I agree. Many reptiles seem confused over the concept of glass! Since they can see past it they should be able to walk through it!
So you get the Bearded Dragon version of the "Mime trapped in a box" routine. ![]()

i saw this same topic posted at another site and the conclusion was that the Bearded Dragons tank was within view of a cornsnakes tank. when it was moved the Bearded Dragon calmed down, so I quess the question is could any thing be scareing him outside the cage? or maybe even in the cage(bully).

Yep totally normal. I had the background seen once with mountains and rocks and they were constantly trying to climb the backside. lol

Mine too, especially the female, is always trying to get onto the tree limbs and rocks in the background outside the terrarium. Cute to watch, but it does break my heart cuz I know how frustrating it must be.
