First Trip Outside!!!
This is Vegas's first summer and today was the first time we have gone outside. It is absolutely beautiful today! Everything started out well enough and he was doing so good that I called for my husband to get the camera. He opens the door, the dog comes out first and completely freaked Vegas out. He ran under the shrubs in front of the house, then under the car in the garage, and I finally got a hold of him in the far corner of the garage. Poor little' guy was so scared. Before the dog showed up he was doing great though. Sitting out on a landscaping rock basking with his mouth slightly gaping. I only got pictures of him while he was afraid and running around though. I never realized how fast these little guys are!!! I think it's safe to say that he did not enjoy his first outing.

try getting a leash to put on him next time you take him out. That way if he does scare, he can't get to far from ya...

*cough* don't buy one from a petstore *cough*
They are super simple to make, all you need is a length of string (I used the drawstring from my pajamas) and a barrel clasp, which I took off of an old glove that had lost its mate. Make a loop and put it around the lizards BACK legs. Tah-dah a safe leash that grows with your lizard.
