Proper Lighting for Gray Tree Frog
So now that I have Clyde, my young Gray Tree Frog in his new habitat - a 20 gal. tank with coconut shell substrate, a water dish, natural tree limbs and a bark hidy-compartment, what about lighting?
The tank has a large florescent light, which I used regularly with the tads that were previously in this tank. But Clyde keeps hiding in the upper corners of the tank, where it seems he is trying to get away from the light. He didn't have too many hiding options until tonight, so maybe that will change. I also turned his light off at night.
Where he is currently set up he doesn't get much natural light.
What should I do for lighting? Is this florescent light too much for him? Your suggestions would be helpful.
As my other tadpoles turn into froglets, if they are the same Gray Tree Frogs, I plan to add them to his habitat as well. I'm pretty sure only two of the tads have the possibility of being the same frog.
Thanks,
Frognug
