I'm doing really well on construction of my Vivarium, but I'm at a loss when it comes to lighting. I have a 37 gallon tank I'm looking to put live plants and dumpy tree frogs in. I'm almost at the point of adding the plants. Once the plants are in I'll let them grow a few months before I add frogs, plus i'm going on vacation in late may and I don't trust any friends yet to feed the frogs for a full week. I'll add the frogs when I get back. This is what it looks like so far:
anyway
This is what I know:
1. I need light for the plants during the day and to keep the temp up.
2. I need timers to shut that light off and turn a night (red) light on
3. I need the red light to keep the temp less at night (I think my house gets too cold at night, at least in the winter it does, down to 62) I won't need this light in the summer, for we set the AC at 75.
4. I need lights that won't be too hot or be too bright so they don't burn the plants.
5. I want a way to attach the lights to the top of the screen, so I"m not having to take them off seperatly every time I feed the frogs or change the water.
Any help would be great or even a photo of how you have yours set up. A picture is worth a thousand words.
