Depends on the thickness of glass and type/composition compared to the thickness and type/composition of plexi.

If your looking to get any decent amount of UV through something look into solacryl. It's expensive but worth the money.

I've tried to find out where I can get some, but no luck. Do you know who sells it?

Hmm Considering uvb is filtered out a LOT by glass I wouldn't say it's much better.

Call a local glass cutter, a home improvement shop wont have stuff like this.

Joeking it actually is much better. From what I've read recently on it. It is used extensively in zoos. I'll definitely check the glass specialist shops.

http://www.spartech.com/polycast/solacryl.html

It is almost only available in full sheets and shipped freight (not cheap). Try posting on HH and see if someone will split a sheet with you.

Maybe ebay.
