I believe what they are referring to is that the plastic itself is not damaged by exposure to UV light, not that it allows the transmission of UVB light through it.

I contacted Spartech to see if they have any dealers who sell it on a smaller level. Had no luck on Ebay.

Another name I found for it is OP-4 acrylic. It is very common in tanning beds but of course anything sold for a specific product is expensive. Not unlike "reptile bulbs" LOL

I forgot about the OP-4, one is a lot cheaper than the other but both of them you need a full sheet, at least I'm pretty sure on that one. I think the cost is justifiable, it's a lot harder to make this stuff.
I wonder if starfire glass (the glass without iron in it) passes adequate UV, it's so clear that it's hard to even see.

I'm going to continue looking into it but my budget right now(after Christmas shopping) won't allow me to get any.
