We had Crichton out for a bit last night: weighed him and took some pics. He's doing really well and starting to put on weight fast. We'll probably switch him over to rat pinkies soon.

He hasn't really shown any signs of changing color yet. He has one spot of green on his side, but it's been there since we got him 2.5 months ago. I'm hoping he'll retain a high amount of yellow... time will tell. I'll keep you posted:

He's a real pretty boy Andrea. Can't quite spot that green so hopefully he'll retain a lot of yellow colouration. Love the moustache though How old is he now? Glad he is doing well and looks like he has a nice temperament and character.

Thanks Rachel. If we can believe the guy we bought him from (lied about breeding Crichton himself) , Crichton just turned one on August 24.
He has a very docile temperment and I just think he's wonderful.
The green spot is just a little beyond my fingernail tip towards his spine (more of a "line" than a "spot") Just above a small faded red spot. Oh well... whatever!
I'll keep my camera charged and ready... I've heard that some GTPs have actually changed color overnight: you go to bed and your snake is yellow and you wake up and it's suddenly completely green! (I hope it doesn't happen that fast for mine though... it's too exciting.)

He's beautiful Andrea! Wow I had no idea that it could happen that fast! I assumed it would be a long term gradual change.
Imagine if you didn't know it was going to happen and woke up thinking that some one had taken your snake and replaced it with another!

About his eyes: his pupils aren't normally that big: they get that big in the dark though...
Merlin, isn't that an amazing bit of chondro-trivia? I've read that most often it takes anywhere from 15 days to 15 weeks for the snake to completely change... but obviously some of the snakes haven't heard that rule! (I'm glad I read that, because I really would think someone stole my snake and replaced it!) They are just such amazing animals!
