Hello all my friends!

Figured I'd drop by and provide some visuals of my Green Tree Python, This dude has been through it all and i'm proud to say i've never seen him better.

I actually just finished feeding him the biggest size rat he's ever had to date. (1st Rat ever)

Although still a small rat by "RAT" standards, By far the most filling meal he's ever had.

Last week I tried to get a mouse and they were sold out so I asked about the finches... I was certainly entertained by the idea of feeding a live bird finally...


Turned out to be a bit pricey, perhaps next time.

Very pretty.
However on the subject of feeding live birds.
You should stay with the rodents.
As you mentioned feeding live finches would be rather pricey.
Now imagine if the snake fixated on them and decided that birds was all he wanted to eat!

I'm glad to see he's recovered and doing so well. Thanks for the update. He looks great!
Also about the bird thing: they can make very smelly and runny stools, and don't really offer nearly as much in the way of nutrition as rats or mice.
I've mostly only heard of people using birds when the snake won't eat, but they usually switched back right away because of the mess!
Keep us posted on his color change too!
