Tragedy

This is what our member has to say: I am so sorry about what happened, but don't give up just yet. He might show up soon. I hope! Good luck....

Re: Tragedy

Thanks everyone! You guys are so full of kind words.

I'll definitely let everyone know if I do find him. And I won't give up hope yet, either. Maybe soon I will find him. We can always hope. I don't want this to be the last I've seen of him.

Re: Tragedy

Maybe set up a lamp on a "limb" of sorts, make a hot spot. Might attract him.

Re: Tragedy

Another few ideas I had. We have some chairs with support frames underneath. My BP always crawls up under there and curls up like a Green Tree Python. Check under any type of furniture; check all your plants, electrical cables, behind or on books on the bookshelves, inside shoes or inside sleeves of hanging clothes (you'd be surprised). Keep a warm lamp (maybe a red light) with a perch set up somewhere he can easily get to with a dish of fresh water.
I lost my garter snake once for weeks and he came up one day out of a crack in the floor from under the house and was headed for his open tank with the water dish in there.

BTW -- another thought I had. Who was checking on him? Could that person have stolen him and made it look like he accidentally left the terrarium door cracked? Sorry to be so suspicious, but Gamut was a really really hot looking snake, and someone could be seriously tempted...

Re: Tragedy

I'm pretty sure he wasn't stolen, but I'll keep an eye and ear out...

Good idea, checking all those things. I will do that. Support beams is a really good idea, and so is the clothes thing. I didn't think to check arms of clothes. I was mostly looking at curtain rods.

Re: Tragedy

Typhanie, I am so sorry to hear about all that has been happening in your life. Don't give up on Gamut though. Teal'c's favorite places to "hide" when he would "get away" from the girls were on top of the curtain rod and behind the sofa. He would stay there until we found him, he was usually frightened by the big bad world. Good luck.

Re: Tragedy

Update: I'm seeing signs of Gamut around. I found a bit of shed on a chair.

This is a good thing. If I could just *find* him.
