Liz pretty much has it. In design, a gamut is the range of available colors for the medium. With print colors (CMYK) you have a gamut that's completely different than screen colors (RGB).
I thought it might be appropriate because right now, this little guy probably has a little of all the colors he will ever have. He still has a lot of his baby yellow, but he's mostly his adult green, and he even has some beautiful blue around the edges.  Who knows. My brain is weird about these things.

He really does have some beautiful colors mixed in there.
Gamut sounds like a good name. Rolls off the tongue easier than Matplotlib -- although that one is definitely unique! More pics, please........

So you could also go with CYMK (Simik)!
And I know Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta. Whats the "K"?
