I just tell it like I see it, tell him if he can find a more natural looking perch and can even out the lighting on the background there may be a spot in the calendar we're making for him.

Re: New Chondro Pics

Typhanie, the females tend to get much bigger than the males. As you can see from the comparison between Lantash and Selmak, she's over 330 grams heavier and they are from the same clutch.
Having said that, both of them are WAY above the averages we've read about for Sorongs.
Lacey, I'll pass your info on to my husband. At the moment, the babies perches are not particularly natural looking but they are practical and it's easiest to take them out for photos perch and all.
Getting them to pose on something else for a photoshoot might be difficult!

Re: New Chondro Pics

Ooh. That orange baby would look SO great in the calendar! Good idea, Lacey.

Thanks so much, Andrea. Since I'm new to chondro care, I'm still in that stage where I'm worrying that I'm not doing something right. Plus, at this point I only have the seller's word on age and what care the snake had been given. Although he said he used to breed chondros, and he had many different species of snake that I could tell were being well cared for, so I'm inclined to take his word for it.

Re: New Chondro Pics

LOL João: my husband is definitely chondro-addicted!!

Typhanie, try not to worry. PM me with any questions. I highly recommend Greg Maxwell's book "The More Complete Chondro" and check out his website at Welcome to Fine Green Tree Pythons for some good general information.
Also, why haven't I seen any pics of your new chondro? Did I miss a thread?

Andrea, they are very beautiful! Lantash just keeps getting more and more gorgeous. She is so sweet looking. The babies are very cute also.

Re: New Chondro Pics

Thanks Kat. Lantash is a big sweetie: she's so mellow, never even tried to bite... (her brother apparently got all the mean genes!!)
However, watch out if you're an F/T rat at night!!
