New Red Babies

My husband, "Chondrodoc" has just bought two red Morelia viridis babies!!!
They hatched on the 6th of July 2007 and are still quite tiny. "Hoshi" is the bigger one: she weighs 28 grams. "Shran" weighs 24 grams. Of course we don't know the sex of the babies yet. We're hoping for two females, but won't know for another 8 months or so when they're old enough to probe.
Their mother is clearly a typical "Sorong-type" but the father looks like he might have some "Wamena" in him.
Here are lots of pics!
First "Hoshi"

The colors here are a bit more accurate and you can see by my fingers how small she really is (and she's the bigger of the two!)

This is "Shran" (both names taken from Star Trek "Enterprise")

And the other side of that pretty face:

Here are the pics of the parents.
Mom "Sophie" today (she's in shed and still showing her hormonal blue)

Dad "Viktor" today (He didn't want to pose, but you get some idea of his body patterns)

Re: New Red Babies

I'm so jealous too! They are magnificant! It would be nice if they would stay red but the parents are great looking too. I'm turning green from the envy.

Re: New Red Babies

Thanks everyone!
The red really is stunning and I also wish they could stay that color. But it's exciting not knowing how they're going to look as adults. They will change A LOT. It should be interesting.
Thanks Lacey. We've got 3 males and one female already. So it would be fantastic to have 2 more females, but we'd also be happy with one. A true bummer would be if they were both males... but that would give Lantash a wider choice of suitors!
Statistically, we have a 50% chance that one of the babies is female, a 25% chance that both are males, and 25% that both are females...
Thanks again for all the good wishes!
