Welt with Green Comeing Out of It?

I have had Rexy for about 7 yrs, she came from a home that had almost killed her she was pitch black when I got her. It took 3 to 4 yrs for her to trust me and she has been great since then. I give her a wide variety of foods and she has a Huge cage I built for her. She also has all the proper lights and supplements.

When I was feeding her tonight I noticed she wasn't in a good mood and then seen she had a welt on the top portion of her tail. Looking closer I noticed that there is a dark green fluid coming out of the welt. I have never seen or heard of this so I joined this site. Any info or advice would be great. Thanks
I'm hoping its just a bruise because she is crazy active and likes to jump from the top of her tank to the bottom about 6 feet!

I know pretty much next to nothing on iguanas, but posting a picture will be a huge help when somebody with more iguana experience comes along. Good luck solving this mystery!

The welt is about the size of a dime or a little bigger. Rexy is about 5 feet long. I will try to get a picture of the welt asap

I'm also no expert on iguanas, but a welt with liquid coming out sounds like some kind of infection. You should consider taking her to the vet in case it ends up being something serious.

It sounds like it could be pus? At any rate, it sounds like the need for a vet visit.

Swollen with fluid coming out of it sounds like some sort of infection. Possibly an abscess or cyst. You need to see a good herp vet.

I Cleaned it up with water and today it is totally gone. I've made a apt. with the vet anyway.
