Rex Harrison the Iguana went to the vet for the first time today, just for a standard check. He got the all-clear, and the vet was impressed by how well behaved he was. We were right in guessing his age at about 3 months, and he weighs all of 48 grams. Of course we are working on the assumption that he's a he after all, and the vet said that if he had to guess he thinks he's a male but we cant know for sure without the blood test or the long wait. He has to take two rounds of a 5 day course of medication for parasites just in case (we didnt bring in a stool sample and the doc said they almost always have them when they are captured so just treat them anyway).
Hooray for the healthy ig!
