Top of the cage mister

I was wondering if any of you might be able to point me in the direction of a good top of the cage misting machine. What I'm looking for is something that I can set atop the enclosure, fill with water, and have it periodically mist the cage down throughout the day. I have yet to find quite what I'm looking for, and was hoping that someone here might have something similar or could recommend a place to find one.

Don Iguan, the ig I adopted a few months ago, was well cared for, but his former owners really didn't have a good grasp on what iguanas really need. His enclosure, which came with him, is very large and roomy, but flat and low to the ground. He can move around really well, but he doesn't really have anywhere to climb. They also had him on repti-bark, two heat rocks and a small bowl of water. Since I've gotten him, I've changed his substrate, unplugged the heat rocks in favor of heat and UVB lamps, and added a kitty litter box full of water for him to soak in a little. I'll be building a top section to his enclosure for him to climb, a small cave for him to hide in, and supplimenting it with anything that I can to increase moisture and a tropical atmosphere. A cage mister would be a great start. If you guys have any other suggestions for any of the rest of it, I'd be happy to hear them.

Wow. Thanks for that link, that's definitely something I'll save up for.

I love their demonstration videos. The company I work for is looking into putting up some similar vids, and those are simple and effective.

I personally don't think the mistking is worth the money, the use the press in macro fitting which are convenient but expensive, I purchase the Big Apple Herp mist system, and used hard poly line from Home depot, (5 bucks for 20 feet) and achieved a similar effect (no drip, with the vinyl line yes it drips and sputters for a long time because the line swells under pressure)

I'd have to say that I've never used the mistking. I do have though some parts on order and will be creating my own misting system hopefully before new year. If you want to see the finished product and breakdown of parts and costs you'll have to check it out over at Herp Habitats.

Just be very carefull with misters.
If left on too much your enclosure will become a swamp!

Heh. Yeah. That's why I probably need a more expensive system with a timer that will only spray for 10 seconds, twice a day, or something.

That Big Apple system looks really good for the price. It includes the resevoir and a timer, which is nice. Does it hold up well? Everything work the way it's supposed to?

I'm having a hard time choosing, now.

As far as hold up I can not give you a definitive answer as I only have had it for a few months, After I replaced the vinyl tubing with the poly I loved it, aside from the learning curve of the timer (no matter the system you'll have timers) as for run time the nozzles are .1oz/min I have 2 in the 75 gallon with the satanic thats 2 tenths of an ounce of water every min, I run it twice a day for 1 min, once in the a.m. 8:04am and once in the evening just before lights out 8:04pm.

I use a $30 cool mist vaporizer. The amount of humidity it puts out is adjustable and I can direct the humidified air pretty much to where I want it. I don't think it works well on cage top though. I tried using dryer vent hose to direct the flow downward into the enclosure, which did work except when I had to remove the hose to fill the tank, then water from the hose would get the unit wet and I kinda got scared of getting electrocuted or something!! I suppose I could have just not removed the hose, but leaving it on was rather cumbersome when it came time to refill the tank.
