Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
I know that I have at my disposal about 10 flashes, 4 studio lights, a background stand with black, white, blue and green and any number on great lenses (it helps to have great photog friends).
All I have to do is feed them chinese food and I have them all at my disposal. I may even have a girl bringing a corn snakewith her. I'm going to have to turn up the heat to keep all of these herps happy.
Tentatively we're going to set up and shoot March 8th and see what we get.

Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
Personally I think the black background would be good.
Really emphasize the animals without the overpowering brightness of the white.

Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
sometimes a neutral gray, although sounding boring, brings out the best of the subject as well.

Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
I'm not planning on doing the same color every month, I'm going to look for variety and see what colors best fit the animals.
I've got 6 months worth on animals lined up to be shot on March 8th so we'll just have to see what my friends and I can come up with.

Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
I didn't read all 6 pages before this, but I would also like a herp calendar, with just the animals, either in the wild or on some neutral background. I don't mind mixing species, but it would also be cool to have one with just geckos (or lizards), or just snakes, or what have you.

Re: Would You Buy a HC Calendar?
Thanks for the input CM, For the first one I think I'll be mixing species, I've got lined up so far:
Green Iguana
Bearded Dragon
Leopard Gecko
Corn Snake
Ball Python
Pastel Boa
I personally don't live in a very reptile-rich area so i'm not sure I could find 12 different morphs of leopard gecko or 12 different kinds of frog just yet. Maybe if you guys buy enough calendars we can afford to send me to costa rice ot do a field herping calendar.
