Royal/ Ball Python Soaking?
Ok this is kind of a specifc poll but I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I'd like to see some numbers so I'm gonna make a poll ( sorry scientists like numbers ):
How often do your ball/royal pythons soak themselves?
Please feel free to tell me about your set-ups, humidity, age, gender, shed history, etc.

I've never seen mine go into their water for anything other than a drink.

Mine only soak right before a shed...otherwise I just see them cut across the bowl and just parts of them get wet but it's not a 'soak'.

I have only ever seen one of our ball pythons soak, and that was because he was too warm.
In fact, with all my snakes, I've only ever seen a couple of them soak because it was too warm or they were in shed. Other than that, the only times our snakes soaked were when we had mites infestations.

Mine doesn't, but he has outgrown his waterbowl, so he might if he had a bigger one

Hey Rachel, thats what I was thinking last night when I caught Otis soaking, as I have never seen him soak before, why do I always think the worst! we have had quite a few new additions this past 2 weeks, so I was worrying a bit. Time to give them a good check over.

I have had my pair for 4 years, since they were hatchlings and they have never soaked.
