New vipers in my care..

Hi all..

I just want to show you all a picture of my new vipers.

They are Vipera renardi, Renardīs viper or Steppeviper. A rather small (50 - 60 cmīs ) but nice looking species.

Picture showing the male.

Very nice. Love the patterns. Just a question though. Does your local hospital carry vaccines or do you have to supply them in the case of a bite?

Re: New vipers in my care..

Regarding the antivenin. There is no such thing as a vaccine for venomous snake´s bites. And, yes there is in my hospital, or transported there with rescuecar or helicopter. I do not store any myself, I mean there is no doctor in the world that would inject anything that I myself brought to the hospital.

Some more pictures.. Females this time.

Re: New vipers in my care..

I've heard of this species, but never seen them. I must say, the coloration and pattern are quite stunning!
