Hello,

Desiree Wong (a long time site supporter and friend), lost her beloved iguana Vega$ yesterday. Vega$ has had some medical issues that Des has been battling with. When she arrived home yesterday, she found Vega$ lifeless. Des and Brian are obviously going through a difficult transitional period after having been kept by Vega$ for 11 years.

A necropsy has been scheduled to help learn what exactly was going on in there and to help the vets learn more so that they can be better equipped to help other iguanas.

Des is an avid supporter of the IRCF. If anyone has considered donating to the HC Network after having received their taxes, why not divert those funds and donate them to the IRCF in Vega$ name.

"One of the principal aims of the IRCF is to support conservation and research programs that contribute to the survival of threatened reptiles and their habitats.

The IRCF works in concert with the scientific community, educators, and professional conservation organizations as a part of the total conservation solution."

This group deals with a vast amount of species but is known for their conservation efforts surrounding and supporting the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana.

Oh Des... I'm SO sorry to hear of Vega$' passing! Just last week I was showing her picture and telling the Pet Psychic story to my boyfriend. You and Brian will be in our thoughts and prayers.
