Great job!! It's sometimes so difficult to do the right thing when it means "being a rat"; but at least you can sleep at night knowing that so many animals' lives were saved ALL THANKS TO YOU!!!

Too many people walk away from situations thinking "well it's none of my business" or "someone else has probably already reported it".

You are a HERO, because that was a really heroic thing to do!!!!

I'm glad that the ospca reacted so quickly and decisively. Keep us posted if you hear any more.

That's awesome....I commend both of you for speaking up and doing something.

Ssativa, if you find no changes when you go back you can report them to the florida wildlife commission - inspector 1 (850)488-6253. They are the ones who handle reports of petstore abuse of captive reptiles & have the authority to shut them down.

Well done Skull! And ssastiva! Good on you both for speaking up and doing the right thing! I once ignored a pet shop's bad care in the past, and that was ignorant and just as bad as the pet shop owner who was mistreating the animals. In the end I did the right thing, and called the RSPCA on him,. he is now closed and banned from keeping reptiles, but it was wrong of me not to speak up in the first place .. that takes a lot of guts, and all you should receive is praise and congratulations.

Next time your "friend" calls you a 'rat', think of all the animals that were saved because of the actions you took. You're a wonderful person. Well done!

How do I get a HOLD of ASPCA

Or whatever they may be called. There's a pet store by me that disgusts me the only healthy reptiles at the store are the bearded dragons and fish. Any other lizard or snake is very very un healthy. They had a dead snake i'm forget what kind dead in his tank. I went and told them. They said they know and didn't do **** about it. How do u kill a snake they only eat once a week and if u forget to feed a snake its usually still ok for like 2 or 3 weeks without food. And the monitors one was perfectly staright and one had sunken in sides. Last time I checked lizards aren't healthy unless they have that cute little chubb chubb belly. I could go on about each lizard that had something wrong with it. But mostly they were under feed it looked like. I'm going back there today to see if that dead snake is still in the tank if it is there gonna be busted like the guy at the beginniing of this form

kupo,

i don't know how to contact the aspca, but I think you should if you think they are mistreating animals like that, regardless of whether the dead snake is in there or not.

great for you for wanting to be proactive,

lola

I totally agree, An animal of any kind can't call for help. We all need to be vigilant, and watch for the greedy people out to just make a buck. The animals suffer because of unfeeling people like that.
