Hello,

One year ago today, vBulletin, the software that powers Herp Center was purchased. That was the first day that this site started to physically take form.

After a hack attempt and a system upgrade crash, here we are.

For me, this year flew. Between keeping the site online, the birth of my son, and the expansion project, I have found my time to be pretty tight. I continue to find my time fairly consumed with the work that the admin team and myself have been preoccupied with. As most of you know, Shop HC will be opening as soon as the last order arrives. We are looking forward to that.

What you don’t know is that Herp Center is networking. While Herp Center is great for those of us that enjoy discussing multiple reptiles in this type of forum environment, others are more comfortable retrieving their information where the site is species specific.

So at some point in the near future, Herp Center will be endorsing 2 new affiliate sites. Both sites are already being constructed as I type this. We hope the 2 new sites will allow us to further reach out to other enthusiasts.

Since both sites are currently under construction, placing the urls, or what they are about, would be premature. (Keeping people wondering what sites are being designed is fun.)

We hope that everyone will help us make these sites as great as Herp Center has turned out. I personally want to thank everyone for their contributions to HC. This site has exceeded my hopes of what it would become.

Thanks to both the staff and the members that have made Herp Center the community that it is.

Happy 1 year to us....Thanks Rich for giving us the opportunity to flourish and have as much fun as we've had,,,,it's been a blast Bro. And to all our members,,,,,thank you most of all for keeping us on our toes and giving us the desire to be here day and night when you needed guidance and we were there to do all we could to help. I can honestly say it was a fast and wonderfull year,,,again,,,THANK YOU ALL.
