:D I'm smiling because I have no idea whats going on!

I have to say this has been a wonderful first year! When Rich first approached me about this new site he had in mind, a site run by and for serious herpers and not the spammers and flamers, I didn't hesitate a minute. Having worked with him on other sites I knew the level of determination he had. The ideas behind this site appealed to me greatly and apparently it has appealed to others as well! Imagine a site where you could actually go and talk herps with other like minded people without constantly being bogged down in juvenile temper tantrums and name calling! What a breath of fresh air!
This site has taken off and exceeded our expectations. One year old and we have 1081 members, 25,611 posts, and 2,958 Threads. Not too shabby!
I also would like to thank the best group of members we could hope for and the best admin and mod team I have ever dealt with for making this come true. The success of HerpCenter is dependant on all of us!
Congratulations to us all and onward into the future!

I have visited many of webs. And I will say that everyone here is the most friendliest and caring people I have met!
I learn something new every time I come in here.
I love my babies and it's Very comforting to know that other people feel the same way about their reptiles as I do.

The expansion project was thought of awhile back. We have been working on the sites now for roughly 30 days. When I left RF to start HC, I had goals in mind for the site. The past year I believe can show that the administrative team that runs this site has stuck to those goals, and now it is time for us to expand. By expanding, we offer yet another location for hobbiests to gather information. I don't think it has anything to do with me being patient. It has to do with the plans that we set forth for this site. We are just following through with the things that we planned on doing. If you only knew what else we have in store. lol We won't go there just yet. A few projecs at a time.

this is great. i've seen so many changes and I will almost be here a year. its really cool. i think this site is so great. there's always something going on, whether its a contest to enter or some advice to give or just chatting with friends here. its great. i'm very happy that I found this place and will continue to stay with Herp Center for a long time.
