I have added the "Move the Meter" icons to the donating members posts. Above the donating members avatar they will display the "Golden Gecko". The golden gecko depicts that the user has helped move the meter and links to the donation page.

The final funds that were sitting in the account have been depleted this evening. The final payment of $270.00 was just sent out to cover the expenses for the server for the next 3 months. We have a small reserve in our account, but we do not have the $270.00 that I will be required to send in on October 24th.

As you can see by the meter here: Donations Meter we are not exactly on schedule to cover the entire years costs. If you have considered donating, this would be a great time to do so. We have 3 months to come up with the next payment ($270.00) and roughly 6 months to have met the sites annual goal.

Donations are super easy to make by the way. Simply click the big button on the donations page and it will launch paypal. Once you are done donating, it sends you a page I have setup. It is fully automated. Remember, every $1.00 helps. If each user actually donated a single dollar, this site would pay for itself without any issues at all.

That is a beautiful display and an altogether bright idea.
I love the fact that this site is free for the animals. Anyone can come in and improve the health and happiness of their beloved herps.
I also like the Golden Gecko Award. It's like a little golden halo.
I also love the idea the site only eats 2 grand a year! Astounding!
Keep bumping Rich, it took me 3 months to find this post! (hint hint)

I am completely confused by that statement. lol If 2,000 a year doesn't sound like much money, please send me a $1,000 donation. lol I will make you a very special award, lol. Two thousand+ dollars a year for a website is pretty steep in my books. Each year that we have been up, our costs go up. (More activity means more bandwidth and disk space.)

If each user donated a single dollar, paying for the site would never be an issue. In fact, it would allow me more time to focus on other things and ways to improve the site.
