Finally got bit!

Today when I took Tooya (my Brazilian Rainbow Boa) out of his cage I went to wash the bark dust off of him and he didn't like it and bit me!!! It bled...hurt just about as much as a couple of needle pricks and that was it. After he bit me he was fine, I think I just startled him with the water.

I Just thought you'd all like to know so you can tease me now!

Welcome to the club!

It's like I always say.
There are two kinds of snake keepers.
Those that have been bitten.
And those that are going to be!

At least you didn't make too big of deal of it, people that flip out when they get bitten by their herps don't deserve to own that herp. I hope you cleaned the wound, cuz like most animals snakes have bacteria in their mouths.

It looks so frightening and stings so little...like a needle I guess! I must say though mine was a feeder bite and after 6 minutes of him not letting go I started to freak out a bit but more because of the pinching then bite...he looked so evil while he was doing it...like a dog ripping appart his chew toy but it was my hand:P
