Then there's the part where you are trying to feed a dragon that doesn't want to eat. After the second syringe, he doesn't lick it anymore, he just pushes it down the chin and to the sides of the mouth and you keep wiping it off and dropping it again ... Trying to sneak on him pushing the syringe in when he's licking his nose can be dangerous...

Actually its while he is licking it that I slide the syringe into his mouth. I'm not say to force it in but if you have the syringe at the ready, when he opens his mouth to lick is the easiest time to slip the syringe in to the side of his mouth. Then while he is chewing on the syringe you dispense the food into his mouth. It takes a bit of timing but you can figure it out rather quickly.
And yes trying to get food enough food into them by letting them lick a drop off their nose is going to be VERY time consuming!

Some hours ago I had a really good experience. I tried the Bearded Dragon power air for the first time and I'm quite amazed.
I didn't follow the original recipe because I lacked some ingredients but it did work as advertised =) Pog licked off his nose almost 10cc of the stuff in a few minutes. Wow!

Guys, finally today, after 57 days of force feedings, Pog has eaten on it's own. It wasn't a whole "meal", just a couple of zophobas but it was after the force feeding session which is undeniably a very positive sign of change.
And how are your patients Dr Merlin and Dr Marsha? =)
