Yep thats what my syringe looks like but that is after numerous feedings. Its probably due to the small capacity of the syringe that you have to keep putting it back in his mouth. Go find a bigger syringe. Look for something for feeding baby animals/birds or even giving medicine to children. The one I use is a 10 cc and I usually get 3 or 4 syringes down before he's done.

You mean you feed him 30cc or 40cc at a time?!?! That's a lot of food! Are you feeding him everyday?

Then maybe it's an animal size thing or recipe composition because the vet told us to feed at least 2cc of that dog food + cabbage recipe at least 3 times a week, so that's 6cc a week. You are feeding 5 to 7 times more than that per *day*!
We have been feeding him 4-5cc a day but that's still way behind 30-40cc.

How big and old are your patients, fellow doctors? =)

My male is an adult and 2 years old. The female is a little over a year old and also an adult. She will take 30-40ccs a day voluntarily. She literally jumps for the syringe with her mouth open. 2ccs is not quite a half teaspoon. Thats not much food for an adult dragon.

Is it possible he's chewing the syringe so much because he's hungry? Maybe he needs a bit of a bigger feeding to keep him more satisfied between meals -- if he's more satisfied, he'll probably be less aggressive when you're trying the next feeding. I don't have any Bearded Dragon experience myself, it's just a theory!

And thanks RBL, my avatar is one of the two Bell Albino Leopard Geckos we've hatched so far this season!

No, at most he's angry =) Really, every time he sees me with the syringe he becomes nervous. He does everything possible to keep me from putting it in his mouth and biting is the last resort.
He has food available all the time in his enclosure and he doesn't touch it.

Every time I feed him, I push in a third of the syringe content because I'm afraid he'll choke or breath some into his lungs and then the problem would be far more complicated.
Marsha's and Merlin's dragons are 2 year old and much bigger than Pog, I suppose.

I need some Leopard Geckos in my life as well =)
