2 days prior to my vet visit with Pog I thought he was going to brumate but the vet's diagnostic was a hard case of puberty. See this thread from post #6.

He's fine I guess, within the limits of his current condition. He's not losing any weight; he's alert and inquisitive outside his enclosure; inside remains alert and basking if I turn his enclosure to the TV =) or if he has sun bathed before; when sun bathing poops on his own almost every day (in the last months he was very irregular and ended up pooping almost exclusively on his weekly bath) so in a way there's some improvement but generally it's the same.
Every day I don't take him out for sun baths or feeding, he ends up in his bed, wake but motionless all day.

My male bearded dragon is eating like a pig he can't get enough and the female in with him is also.
You may want to take your Bearded Dragon to the vet to ensure it's health. That would be a good idea to have a herp vet check it out just to make sure. I am not a vet just a rehabber.
Until you get to the vet you can offer and give the dragon pedialyte you can use either plain or fruit flavored, WE also use strawberry ensure.
Remember whenever you need to force feed any animal it is added stress on their condition.
You can try and stick a wax worm in the side of the dragons mouth if the dragon starts to chew thats great.
All these suggestions are only to keep the Bearded Dragon alive until yoou get it to a vet.
Dragons can reach maturity as early as 9 months

I've been to the vet and she was the one that told me to force feed him.

Just curious, Merlin and RBL, what formula(s) are you using for your Bearded Dragons? (Always good for future reference.)

You might be surprised. My male will lick it off his nose but its a bit of an efort to get the syringe in his mouth and he chews the dickens out of it! But he eats it! I have been giveng the female some too and she loves it! She see's that syringe and she has her mouth open leaping for it!
By the way the male and female are in the same room but not in the same enclosure.

My gripe is not with the formula, just with the medium.

Take a look at this close-up photo

This is a brand new insulin syringe that went into Pog's mouth 4 times.
If those shards weren't made in the last time it went in, I wonder how many wounds it has caused to his gums every time he bite it.

Does your male chew it like this?

Now there must be a way to carry stuff in without running the risk of infections, mouth rot and what not.
