What is this?

My friends dad was in the Dominican Republic and he took a picture of these lizards does anybody know what kind they are? Thanks for any info you can give me.

looks somewhat like a photoshopped cross between a monitor and an alligator to me :P

a mountain horned dragon, but its build is too thick, so I dont think thats what it is

I believe I posted these pictures a few years ago of these lizards that my boyfriend got pictures of while working in Curaco. I think they were identified as Ameiva's. They look similiar to what is in your picture.
