R.I.P. my first truck. i shall miss it dearly.



while driving to work yesterday morning, some ****** decided to pull out right in front of me off a side street while I was going 45mph. i had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting him, but with the roads wet from a gentle rain, i coulden't avoid hitting a utility pole. it snapped in half and the top half then fell ontop of the truck. the ***** diden't even stop. luckily I was uninjured, sadly I can't say the same for my truck. the damage was extensive, and since the truck was old, we diden't have it covered for collision. i diden't get the other guys liscense plate number so thiers no way to pin it on him. the repair shop said it'd be cheaper to just buy a new vehicle.

i hope all you drivers out thier are considerate on the roads or atleast take responsibility for your actions. this is the stuff that happens when your not. it could happen to somebody you know.

Glad to hear nobody was hurt. Sorry 'bout the truck though. Did anybody witness it ? I know here in Virginia they have an un-insured motorist fund, when an accident is caused by another person that leaves the scene and a witness verifies, your own insurance company can draw from that fund to pay you the value without it increasing your rates. Just a thought.

welcome to the club brother. After 9 years of being together my wife and I decided to buy our first Brand spankin new vehicle.It was a thing of beauty 2005 chevy Impala,Laser Blue metallic(BURPLE),factory 5 stars,power everything,had it only 3 months and I get a call one morning "honey, I wrecked the car, and Im thinking scratches or maybe a headlight or someting small but at 20-30 mph(I reran the acident and could only get my car to 25 pedal to the floor) this is the result. And when I asked what happened all she said was I dont Know. No rain or snow, 7:30 in the morning on a sunday, no traffic. sorry about your truck and glaad to hear no one was hurt. you guys just about had the same accident,freaky
