My name is stupid and I have a, nearly, unique problem.

About a week ago I asked about BD cages here and designed a cage from the feedback. Well I decided not to get the lizard after all but did that stop me from building the cage last night? Not a chance, it was just a 2 coffee-pot project.

Now I have a little cage, well tiny by my standards, which is has a 2' x 4' base and stands about 2'-9” tall. Had I been thinking I would have made it about 4' tall to accommodate my plants and act as a nice indoor winter sub tropics chamber aka greenhouse. As it is right now it is too short for either of my plants -- one lime and one avocado. All that is needed to complete this is adding the lighting and floor or about $25 and an hour's work.

Anyone ever find themselves in a similar problem?

I have done that Mark! I didn't think I was stupid though. lol I just ended up using it for another herp down the line.

You could toss it in the classifieds section or you could just go ahead and get yourself another herp!

Look at it this way, Mark. It was your subconscious telling you to prepare for another herp. Then everything will be ok. You will eventually buy the next herp cuz after all, you have an empty viv just sitting there. All works out in the end.

What's Life Without A Little Magic!

This micro cage is growing on me. I think I will use it as the design for Blob's new cage. I have all the parts and it is all sewn together but I don't like how the bottom fits in so I will be redoing that.

I'll post photos when I find my camera

I am kinda keen on the idea of a new lizard here are my requirements:
- > same diet as an iguana -- eg NO FRICKIN' CRICKETS
- > not commonly aggressive
- > about the size of a Bearded Dragon -- small as an adult
- > it would be great not to be UV dependent but if so I can deal with it
- > summer humidity can't be a problem

They need UV but can't think of a lizards that ticks all the boxes so to speak....
