Building with glue

I am trying to build a two story hide with stairs and I was wanting to know if using regular old non toxic wood glue would be ok. I am also want to use the wood glue to tack moss all over that exterior of the hide. Any other suggestions would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wood glue will be fine. Give it a couple of days to release the fumes. If you use a heat lamp, relocate your herp for a day or two and put the construction in the tank. The heat from the lamp will release the fumes quicker. Once the glue has dried and cured, there will be no more worries.

Regular wood glue will be affected by water. If you are dealing with a damp environment make sure the wood glue is rated for exterior use.

Outside of the hide but inside of the cage? Or glue moss to the outside of the cage?

If it is inside the wood glue won't standup as Merlin was saying. If to the outside of the cage to make it look like a mossy box the woodglue or even white elmers glue is fine.

Could he use a product like Great-Stuff all over the hide box then pack the moss over the still wet foam? This would not only hold the moss to the outside but allow for shaping and molding of the hide exterior.

If it is to be used in a wet/moist environment, I would suggest Gorilla Glue.

It is about $4 for a small bottle, but the stuff expands - it doesn't take much at all. It is super strong and waterproof.

Gorilla Glue is the new Duct Tape...

Only duct-tape is weak and fails. Gorilla glue is flippin' strong.

Aw **** I broke my rule. My original post is shorter than my signature. I have a hard time taking a post seriously when the signature is much longer than the post.

I won't get it wet, it is on the cool dry side. It only gets humid when I spray the warm side and it only stays around 40% humidity. I let it dry over night and I put it in there this morning, and as soon as I put it in there she came out of her rock hide and started exploring the hide! I don't know if I like it yet and I don't know how she will do with it!
