Speaking of chicken, if proper hygiene is practiced with your reptiles (and I know you do this Cody) then you have more of a chance of getting salmonella from your raw and undercooked chicken than from your reptiles....hope you feel better....and what if its twins!!! LOL Lyn

Just to give an update, I am feeling much better. I'm still taking probiotics and have kept my herp area alot more confined then it used to be. So I did alot to try and remedy myself and I don't really know what worked , I am seeing the doc on the 27th this month, I'll post what he finds, my first question will be, "You think this happened from reptiles?" I'm hoping he chuckles...

I am by no means a doctor, but I've never heard of salmonella being airborne and the CDC's website mentions no such thing and Salmonella.org specifically states that it isn't airborne. It is quite clear that it is a bacteria that has very specific requirements to survive. Namely, a moist, salty, warm environment. I think someone is jerking you around to get you to get rid of your animals. Testing for salmonella is very easy and shouldn't take that long... of course, abdominal cramps is a symptom in hundreds of possible conditions.
