Hi. just wanted to share. I brought another fire bellied toad. I believe it is a female. The one I have is bigger, darker in skin color and has more bumps/warts. The new one is smooth like glass. So I put them together in the tank and link my first one walked almost like a cat up to her and bite at her. I was afraid he would eat her so I put in 10 crickets and that pig link ate 9 of them I had feed him 4 the night before because I knew that the other one was coming home the next day. Anyway the little toad went to get the last cricket and link ambushed her for it. He jumped out of his tree onto her and took the cricket I know he didn't want it not after all he ate. He sat there for 5 minutes holding it in his mouth staring her down like a dog with a bone, Then he just spit it out and went for a swim she then picked it up and ate it. Why did he act this way, like a mean pig bully? He is now in love with her barking at her or whatever that strange noise is. I know it's him because he did it when I was holding them together. He also keeps jumping on her and she has to go everywhere with him on her back. Is it mating time for them?
