Hurricane Wilma

Yay! I finally got power. Now I can post some pics finally. Here is a shot of one hurricane survivor who clung to the branches of his tree as it's limbs were brutally ripped apart by Wilma's fury. Picture was taken immediatly after the storm began to calm down.

Here is a pic of my privacy fence that got taken out, or what's left of it. The piece that fell toward my pond was actually tied to the palm tree which is why it did not totally disappear.

Unfortunately my cam ran out of batteries before I had a chance to get any shots of the destroyed vehicles. Trees and cars don't mesh well. Luckily my car only took a few shots from roof tiles which scuffed it up a bit and a big gouge in the back caused by some flying aluminum from someone's back porch.

Thinking about all of you that have been hit by these monster storms... The weather here in Newfoundland can get pretty ferocious, but luckily for us the hurricanes usually die out before they actually make it our way. Good luck and God Bless.

Glad to hear all is well, washington doesn't get much wild weather, just the occasional ice storm.

Where are all the other people from Florida here? I hope everyone is okay. If anyone has any good pictures of the storm I would like to see. I wished I could go up in a plane to get a picture of what the storm itself looked from the outside. Oh well, maybe next time.

Wow! It's amazing how much damage a hurricane can create. I'm glad you are ok and that your property is relatively ok. Poor iguana caught in the storm in the first pic- you can only imagine what it went through outside with the wind howling.

BTW I do hope that all our Florida (and any other States hit by Wilma) members are ok.
