If there's no such thing as a central carpet python, someone better tell these folks...they're trying to sell them.

There was/is a snake called the central carpet python actually. It's scientific name either was or is Morelia spilota bredli. Either this subspecies became its own species, known as the central or Bredli's python (Morelia bredli), or its the other way around, and the Bredli's python became a subspecies of carpet python. Either way, the snake either once, or still does exist.

There is a central python, it is called centralian python or Bredls python as Matt mentioned its scientific name is Morelia bredli, as far as I'm aware they are a seperate sub spiecies of Morelia as is Morelia boelens' (Boelens Python) Morelia viridis (sp?), (Green Tree Python) Morelia carinata, (Rough Scaled Python) etc, all these snakes are closly related and have vey similar shape to their heads etc....but any way back to the point yes there is a centralian python but as far as I'm aware it is not a carpet python, so you were both right and wrong lol

Ok, so the central carpet python baceme its own species then, not the other way around. I knew it was one of those two situations. Thanks for clearing that up Joe
