Herp Habitats - **NEW**

Hello,

I didn't want to announce this in the "news" section because I didn't want the link to Reptile UV Guide Uk to be removed.

Herp Habitats is the newest addition to the HC Network.

This site is all about terrarium and cage design. You can display your enclosures in the gallery, post feedback and comments for other peoples enclosures and terrariums, find out how to build racks, enclosures, design terrariums, build fake walls, moist hides, etc.

Have a look at the site and see what you think! We put a good amount of time into this new site and we hope you all enjoy it and find it to be a useful resource!

I think it is an awesome addition to the network and seems to be really taking off well.

Hello,

What I want everyone to notice is that the "Gallery" will appear to have no posts or images if you are a guest. It is setup that way. The gallery does indeed have images and posts.

Also, you need to confirm your registration. The boxes at the top of the page explain everything as you progress through the site.

Yes Marsha, it has done well for a site that has just opened a few hours ago. lol

Hello,

I will be adding everything in a DB format as the information is more available. Currently there is one rack plan up and I believe 3 enclosures. I am a carpenter by trade, though lately I have felt like a computer programmer. I am writing up plans for racks and enclosures and hope to expand the information vastly.

Currently I use tables and links, which is working well. When a person registers, they can access the "HH Resources" in the navigation structure. This is where the links are currently that lead to the information already being hosted.

In addition to enclosures and terrariums, we are also writing up articles for how to create cage furniture, accessories, false bottoms, etc.

There is also a section that deals with the keeping and breeding of feeders. When that section is complete, it will contain instructions for every feeder that is commonly purchased. The mealworms and superworms is already up for use with the cricket breeding started.

I think this is a great addition to our network. I have so many people that write to me and ask me about caging- specifically how to build enclosures- now I can just refer them to Herp Habitats. I run a few mailing lists - I think I'll let my members know about Herp Habitats too.
