Shedding question
Is it ok to feed a snake right after shedding? When I found the shedded skin of Sina it was still moist.A few minutes after that I took her out and she was in a get-away mood. But I managed to take her out and held her while defrosting her rat pinkies. She calmed down quickly!
You think it's possible that snakes don't like being touched minutes after shedding? I know they don't like it during.Any ideas? ![]() |

Jacky,
It's fine to feed after a shed. We've fed ours for years and never had a problem

Mine are always very hungry right after a shed and eat with no problem...I haven't noticed mine being sensitive to touch right after shedding though...they haven't seemed to mind being handled right away. I love the way they feel right after shedding...nice and soft
I always try to be careful when I handle them whether they've shed or not...I'd hate to damage their scales somehow. ![]()
