Shedding question

Is it ok to feed a snake right after shedding? When I found the shedded skin of Sina it was still moist.A few minutes after that I took her out and she was in a get-away mood. But I managed to take her out and held her while defrosting her rat pinkies. She calmed down quickly!
You think it's possible that snakes don't like being touched minutes after shedding? I know they don't like it during.Any ideas?

Jacky,

It's fine to feed after a shed. We've fed ours for years and never had a problem

Agreed! However be aware that the new skin may yet be a little soft and handle carefully.

Mine are always very hungry right after a shed and eat with no problem...I haven't noticed mine being sensitive to touch right after shedding though...they haven't seemed to mind being handled right away. I love the way they feel right after shedding...nice and soft I always try to be careful when I handle them whether they've shed or not...I'd hate to damage their scales somehow.

I just read a caresheet where it says that you should wait 48 hrs to feed after shedding! Anyone knows about that?

I've never heard that before either, and I've certainly never waited to feed them after a shed if it was feeding day...They're always ravenous !!!
