I have a good friend from out of town who vends at some of the same shows I do and recently she was in town for a show, but was unable to stay at her normal place for the weekend. We offered to let her stay with us. She accepted our invitation but was a bit leery about all those snakes and lizards being around. She knew we had snakes but had never been over to see them. Of course we had to have show and tell! She was particularly taken with Gertie, our female Ball Python.

Before you know it she had Gertie around her neck getting one of those python neck massages! This woman sat for 2 hours just holding and petting this snake. She had never even touched one before! At one point she looked up and said "I can't beleive I am sitting here bonding with a snake!" She LOVED IT!
The next morning she called her husband and told him that she had decided what she wanted her next pet to be and proceeded to tell him about the previous night in full detail!

She said he got very quiet and then all he said was "You ARE kidding right?"
Both her husband and daughter have told her that if she brings home a snake they are both moving out!

She told them she will file THAT for future reference!

thats awesome. my mom and sis used to not even like the look of snakes but now they will willingly hold them and my mom comes in my room ever now and then to see how they're doing. she calls them by name and everything. she's always asking to make sure I take care of them too even though I always do lol!!

LOL! I think at this point she wants to keep her husband in the house MORE than she wants a snake.
Besides she can always come over to my place and visit!
