Can I get you intrested?

As some of you know,I'm about to adopt a Russian/Amur Ratsnake, and I must drive you crazy by now, because of the many threads I started about her, lol! Please forgive me,I'm just a victim of snake-addiction,for which there is absolutly no cure! I also can't get her out of my mind,I'm so in love! I still feel her weight on my arms, and see her beauty....¨

Well,here I found a caresheet,after a long search on the net,and this says it all: http://www.centralpets.com/phpscript...malnumber=2879

Now wouldn't that be a snake for you??!!

Sorry, it doesn't go directly to the page, but if you click on home, then reptiles&more, and snake, then search for russian ratsnake. Thanks for your inerest!

Juliane, first click 'home',then'reptiles&more', then 'snakes' and then you'll find lots of snakenames to chose from.Look for 'Ratsnake-Russian',then click on 'go there!'
Don't use the search machine on the left-you don't have to type anything in,just clicking!
They also have a caresheet for Children's python!

Beautiful Jacky.. rat snakes are growing on me - we have a yellow rat x corn and I love him to pieces, and we also have a royal diadem/egyptian rat snake, who is a real character! Rats tend to be more wirey and less calm than corns but they have outstanding character and are beautiful snakes. Good luck with him, when do you get him?

Jacky, it sounds like your Russian Ratsnake is going to be a great pet. They are very pretty too.
Joe, that is INDEED one funky looking snake! I love the colors, but I'm not thrilled about the Pinocchio snout!!

Thank you But its normally you who wants stuff.....

A word of caution...the P.baroni are rear fanged and their venom is still relativley unknown, so just don't let them bite you....althought it would take a good chew to get their fangs in..

Going back to the main topic of the thread, I think as a general rule more people should be into rat snakes, asian ones espesially, the variety there is is amazing (I know I've said it loads of times), but pet store just don't stock them, instead they stick with balls, boas etc which don't get me wrong they are still fantastic, but with the aray of colours and sizes, there is a rat snake to suit all people. Rat snakes range from small 3ft dione rat snakes to 12ft stinking goddess, they are available in all colours including blue, green, red, yellow, etc there is no other group of snakes that has the same diversity so because of that I feel they should be taken into more peoples hearts, get interested in them start a demand for them....then when the demand is there so to will be the supply.....I'll stop there
