*sheepish grin* I've always talked to my pets. I speak as if they could understand me, which sometimes garners weird looks from strangers who witness it.... lol. with my Chinese Water Dragon, i try to talk in a calm, low voice, since loud and sudden noises seem to make him freak out a bit.

LOL Jacky, I think we're all guilty of that - all my babies get spoken to,. and although they may not understand I believe they do know and recognise your voice or the vibrations.

Unless I'm directly messing with them (e.g. Come here-while grabbing- Are you hungry?-while feeding- ect.) I do not usually talk to them. My dog gets most of my rants and random thoughts.
By the way, they can hear you. Zane

I think the real question is, who here actually expects them to reply? my mom always asks them questions then looks at them and waits for a reply, its funny though because sometimes she gets a head bob or something of that nature.
