Angry with Our Pet Shop!

so we went to get crickets today and went in to check out the reptile room, well we previously sold her 3 of our baby Bearded Dragons because she was begging us, to start things off they were underfed to the point at 3 months old they looked like they were a week old, they are slightly putting on weight, but my little one that is a month and a half old is the same size as the now 4 month old clutch that she got from me, second reason of my anger is they decided to put a young skink, similar to a blue tongue, in with these same babies, the Bearded Dragons are stressed to the point that they will run from the skink, try to climb the sides of the tank, puff themselves up, hiss and try to attack, another tank has a tortoise in with 6 or 7 uromastix, and it starts to get worse from there. so i guess my question is how do i go about turning them in anonymously? they just told me that they cant be too stressed because there is no injury yet. I'm about as mad as an Irishman can be! help me out guys!

I guess thats the last time you sell them to a pet store! You should tell her that you will give the money back and take them home where they will be care for!

Just be straight up, tell her that this is improper care and that if not fixed your reporting her, why be anonymous?

its the only place i can really get my feeders, thats the only reason i say that, and if i could afford to buy them back i would for sure, but my slow season is here and just making ends meet.

It's really upsetting to see your animals or any other animals being treated improperly. That's why I stopped going to petco because it just upsets me when I see the animals. If I could properly care for them I would buy them all! Unfortunately, I can't so I just don't give them my business. You should definately report them. I'm sure there has to be a way to remain anonymous.

a friend of mine and i have been talking about doing a reptile speciallty shop here, maybe it would shut her down or slow buisiness down enough that she quits ordering more than she can handle. only time will tell if any of it goes into action, but we will find a way to report her for sure

I would order my feeders on line...really do get a better deal. All to often pet shops do the unthinkable. I hope they do not come in one day to the injury they think will stress them...sad!!

I cant stand to see any animal mistreated.

I told my sis that I would get the beardy that she wanted for her b'day but she MUST do a lot of research first and get the proper set up. Her b'day was in march and I still haven't bought that dragon because she hasn't done the research and does not have the proper set up yet.

I was going to sell mt white lined geckos to a co worker with the same stipulations above. 3 months later I still have them for the same reason.

I do hope you are able to get this problem worked out. I say you should mention it to them again and show them to the proper care sheets. Let them know that if things don't change that you will no longer be supplying them with anymore critters.

what kind of feeders are you getting if it's insects i could sell you a small starter colony of roaches i'm fairly certain i know the pet store your talking about and if it is who i think it is i would definitely report them or try to get your animals back possibly both
