hi all,

for lack of much to sell at the herp show in manchester, i have decided to make a small t-shirt production line. i have 5 designs i've made on stencils (my newest hobby) and all of them will be hand painted onto the shirts. i am going to sell them for ten bucks a piece at the show.

thing is, i am unsure of how many to make up, and what size shirts to get! i am all frustrated by this...i have already marked up a bunch of my own clothes with these designs, and I am anxious to start producing, but I am stuck on this one thing.

any ideas?

Why not start off with say 60, and get 15 of 4 sizes like 15 small, 15 medium, 15 large and 15 Xlarge, I dont know if you do them sort of sizes over there, we do both.

I think Donna is right...sounds like a good number...and I'll bet you could sell them for $12 to $15 apiece at least...that's what the average T-shirt at any kind of event costs down here where I live anyway, and because they'll be hand-painted stencils, it seems to me like they would be all the more valuable ...$10 seems too low to me

yeah, i have a couple of prototypes...i tried to scan them on my scanner earlier but it was hooked up to the wrong computer! i will get some pics up by tomorrow, at least.

60, huh? yeah, that sounds pretty good...split it up into a couple different colors...

Sounds great, looking forward to seeing the images.

Maybe if they are popular you could make some kind of business card and take orders,. better to make too little so you don't end up with a huge surplus, however if they do turn out to be in demand you will know for next time, or even take orders and make something big out of this.
