I took my wd too school today, and people are so upseting. I had two kids trying to buy him off of me maybe I was being a little emitional but this upset me it was like he was a piece of meat! they were literally waving money in my face and wouldnt leave me alone, So I went into the long lecture on the proper care for wd's and thats when they left........

I just am afraid I inspired them (by seeing my baby) to want to go to a pet shop and buy one and not taking care of it , My point is too help people understand not spike their intrest so they will do more harm than good!

Yeah that sorta thing happens unfortunately but you done about all you could do in that type of situation. Maybe you can keep being an inspiration to them and they will seek you out for advice about the proper care

That would have irritated me too. You can see where they get their values from: "if you have money, you can get anything."
Hopefully the lecture about proper care will stick in the back of their minds somewhere... or maybe it put them off the idea of buying one completely till they grow up. (Maybe they finally realized that a PC game is cheaper and you don't have to feed it!)

You did the right thing and your information will have educated some people -- you just have to keep trying! There will ALWAYS be those kinds of people around. Sad, but true.
