Part II Animal Protection update

Well, here's where things stand now: the guy from the animal protection agency came to my house today to look at Talyn and Q. (Comparing them is the easiest way to see how bad Q looks.)
Basically the guy was sweet, but had NO CLUE about snakes. (He admitted that he was mostly here to learn from me and even asked if he could call me if another "snake problem" came his way!) He seems to think I'm an exotic animal expert just because I provide proper care for my animals and know why I'm doing what I'm doing: like having a temperature gradient, hide boxes, feeding F/T and keeping detailed records!
(You all that were here and read my desperate posts back in September, October, November AND December can start laughing your tails off now!!! )

Well, I've made a "friend" in the animal protection dept, but I'm not sure he'll be able to do much about this pet store. He said he'd do everything he can to get one of the city officials to make an inspection at least.
I'll let you know if I hear anything more about it. I did what I could-- it's out of my hands now.

Not at all Andrea! In leiu of anyone with more knowledge you may very well have become the local exotic expert! You have learned what you're doing and why you are doing it. You have learned from your mistakes and have gone the extra mile to provide proper care not only for your own animal but to try to make things better for the animals in that store.
That puts you one up on a lot of folks I know!

Turning red

Thank you!!!!! I really did have a rough start with the mites and worms and then Talyn's injury. I put in a lot of effort to get informed and your help here at HC was INVALUABLE in getting me through it all!!
Thanks for everything!

Actually invaluable means "too valuable for the worth to be measured".
"beyond price" ... SOOO valuable that you can't put a value on it. And that's exactly how I feel about the help I get here.
But it is an often confused word.
