My balls scales seem to be comeing off

some of the scales on my ball python seems to be flipping up . there not falling off but it seems like they might. ive been told its because hes almost ready to shed and its just the skin lifting. his skin has also dullened and has a slight blueish tinge to it. will the scale problem go away when he sheds. i bought him only 5 days ago and it has just showed up the other day.

It sounds to me like an impending shed. When this is approaching the old skin gets a bit dry feeling and may be what you are feeling. dufing the shed the skin wil dull the eyes will cloud over. a few days later the eyes will clear and approx4-5 days later the snake will shed. During this time do not try to feed and don't handle the snake as they get a bit grumpy and you can damage the new skin that is forming. Bring your humidity up to about 60-70 percent. If its too dry the skin may not shed in one peice.
