This may sound like a dumb question but what is the top made of? Is it screen or solid and if screen how big is the mesh openings.

Pretty good looking tank but there is something you need to keep in mind. As the snake grows you are probably going to have to get a different tank. The round type tanks really aren't that great for snakes. It makes it very hard to create a temperature gradient, in other words a warm end and a cool end. This is important for the snake to be able to regulate its body temperature.

Hmmmm haven't seen them at the PMs round here. Do theirs have a remote sensor that you can move around in the tank? And do they have a setting to tell you the minimum maximum readings?

Hello Merlin. In about 5 years I will be getting them a 75 Gallon Aquarium. This should be big enough. I am not sure about the thermometer. I'll check it out today.

2 years from now they will have outgrown that tank. you need to think about a size upgrade sooner

I agree, they will need a little more floor space. Especially since you will wamt to put two hide boxes in. It is a great looking tank.
