With the Red Light and the Heat Edmitter it is 77F 2 inches off the ground and 82F about a foot off the ground.

mine has never bitten me. And are you housing two males together? If you are i'd reconsider. They will attack eachother

Hey a word of advice and I think I go for most of us in here, Watch out. If it is not breeding season I wouldn't house two bps together.

This is a bit strange! Unless its very cold in the room to have that low of a temp in a 35 gallon hex tank when you are using both a 150 Ceramic Heat Emitter and a 100 watt bulb is just odd. I would have thought it would be too hot.
What type of thermometers are you using?

My pair have been housed together for their entire lives without problem.

Hey Merlin - The Temperature in the tank with no heating at all is about 63F-64F. I am using 1 Zoo Med Thermometer 1 foot above the tank ground and 1 Fluker's Thermometer 2 inches from the ground. I also have a Hydrometer that is 3 inches off the ground that current reads 45%.
