west coast anybody?
Its me again. Just thinking about California, since I will be moving there soon. I noticed that most people from the forum seem to be east coast, well, most that I know of. Rather than look through everyone's profiles, I just thought I'd come out and ask if there's anyone from the western U.S? Just thought it would be cool to find out who I live near.

I've heard of Beale, but I'm not exactly sure where it is. I'm about 2 hours from Sacramento... we'll have to arrange a meeting once you get settled!

That'd be cool Here's a map of where Beale is in Cali. Right near Marysville. If I remember correctly, I'm about 40 mins from Sacremento, 2 hours from San Francisco, and an hour or 2 from Yosemite Ntnl. Park.

So what's the field herping like out there? I'm from ND. Not many herping opportunities up there. Here in TX I've caught house geckos and seen a horned lizard and a rat snake, but I don't really have the time for herping.

Move to Calif.
I live in the Bay Area (live in Oakland, work in San Fran.) and was born and raised in Central Calif.
I lived on the East Coast once and could never go back--I was in Norfolk, VA. There is a definate difference between EAST and WEST coast people and living. Not good or bad, just different.
Where about in California are you moving to?

Well, you'll be more like 3 hours from me: 137.2 miles. We'll have to meet half way!
Doreenjm, which CV town were you from?
