Man, I so rock!
So I went to Walmart tonight and found out John Travolta was recently there and that he routinely shops at that particular store, (Yay and stuff) and through all of my unexpressionable excitement, we seen these beasts and I was like, whoa, and since I have always wanted one I decided to let Dawn buy me one.. Yes, I'm cheap, but in returns I have to buy her a flower or a rock or a something that women like.
So, since I haven't found a single insect since forever, I'm off to buy 'A' pinhead cricket tomorrow so I can see this puppy in action. I thought about getting a few more but you know, I didn't want her to go off getting obese on me.
Sorry, I'm bored..

It's ok Zane, those are so cool. I kept one all summer and fed it flies I caught in the house. Just watch the first cold night we had here completely destroyed the plant.

They are so cool! Always wanted one, although we managed to kill off our friends' once, by overfeeding it I think. It kept taking crickets off us, so we kept feeding it  They are good to watch though.

That's a nice one Zane. Good luck with it. To me, venus fly traps are like fish. I really like them, but I can never manage to keep them alive!  If you like carnivorous plants, you should take a look into pitcher plants, sundews, and butterworts too, but the fly trap is definately the coolest!
