What snake should I get?

This is what our member has to say: Are rainbow boas well tempered? I have never looked at them before but I think I like how they look. Do they need high humidity?...

Gorgeous snake! Especially the Brazilian Rainbow. All Rainbows can be nippy as kids, but like most snakes, they will develop into well-tempered individuals with regular handling. They are highly arboreal, and MOST CERTAINLY need a steady 80% humidity range. (They require high humidity. Higher than many other tropical snakes.) Buy a captive bred baby, and you'll have much better luck with temperments. Temps around 75-85 during the day, hot end of the cage being close to 90 degrees (88-89 range, ideally), and night time temps from 73-80 degrees. Once again, I don't think this one is a novice snakes because of its high maintenance care requirements, but more power to you if you want to give it a shot! Im in the market for one, myself. Good luck!

I agree with red,a dumeril is a well tempered easy going snake that only gets 5 to 7 feet.Plus they are very pretty snake to look at.Then again I am more partial to boas anyway.
